The Emotional Piano is a legendary virtual grand piano designed for professional soundtrack and symphonic scoring. This deeply sampled walnut bodied grand piano library has a deep, warm and ponderous sound absolutely perfect for profoundly emotive songwriting and deep, brooding underscores. We focused on capturing the exceptionally wide, resonant warmth and velvety softness of a gorgeous Kawai grand to capture just the right character. The sound of a piano is defined by a thousand things, from the lacquer on the wood to the hardness of the hammer felts. Our goal was to find the softest, deepest, most resonant, rich, lush, warm and truly soulful sound we could imagine in a grand piano a sound to express our hearts and souls with. This is a big, dark, warm, full bodied piano intended for epic soundtracks, not fancy dinner parties. This piano wears a helmet flak jacket, not a tuxedo with tails. This piano is a door gunner, not a tiny dancer. This piano doesnt retire to the New England countryside triumphantly after an extended run at the Met. Its buried 6 feet under in the middle of a Chicago downpour, gunned down in cold blood by the mob. If you ever find yourself storming a beach in slow motion or charging into a burning building to save a baby, then this is the piano that will play when the final credits roll. This piano doesnt do romantic comedies. It does true love stories and in the end, it does heartbreaks.

NKI Program Presets

This library is designed for the latest free Kontakt Player version of the full retail version of Kontakt 4.2.3 or later. Weve included 35 Kontakt 4-compatible nki programs, featuring automatable attack, release, dynamics, decay, pedal volume, release volume, EQ, convolution, and a full range of other effects controls. There are 5 main preset patches tuned with specific EQ settings. Each of the 5 presets also has a lite version wtih a much smaller memory footprint and lighter CPU load.

The included Convolution Reverb effect features 79 select custom impulse responses recorded from some of our favorite locations. Among those are also fx impulses which are more special effect than reverb.
