Back then, it snarled like an attitude-laden adolescent, its distinctive samples formed into 24 scratchy, glitchy, twitchy drum kits. Control was minimal but this didn't stop it, and later Konkrete 2, which ran broadly along the same lines, from being equally ear-catching. For Konkrete 3, Soniccouture have upped the ante with a totally revamped interface and enhanced functionality. Better still, the kits of all three Konkretes are bundled together in this release, and upgrade deals are offered to owners of the previous libraries.

Abstract Textures is a collection of unique sound sources created by processing sounds captured from both real and digital worlds. These sounds are specifically designed to fit both modern music composition and sound design. All sounds were recorded, edited and processed at high sample rate (96KHz / 24bit) in order to provide you high quality samples for further processing. All WAV files contains metadata, so you can easily import them into your favorite sound library manager. This library is divided in two parts, providing 30 Core Instruments and 240 Variation Instruments for a total of 270 Kontakt Instruments ready to be used.

When we decided to sample a marimba, we knew we wanted to find a 5 octave concert model. Theres something very special about the enormous bass notes of a full sized model. The Yamaha 6100 model, which was designed in collaboration with world-renowned marimba legend Keiko Abe, seemed to be the natural choice.

Aria's "Celtic Harp"is our first traditional, folk sounding instrument, outside the realms of standard classical music. This was sampled in a completely different room to the our other instruments released so far. We chose a location that would compliment and retain the instrument's warth of tone.
