Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 - FTP RU



Windows Embedded POSReady (Fmerly Windows Embedded f Point of Service) is an operating system developed by Microsoft as part of its Windows Embedded line of products designed f use in "POS Devices such as Automated teller machines and Self Service Checkouts.


Based on Windows XP Service Pack 3 and Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, this version offers me features over Windows Embedded f Point of Service V1 such as Full Localization and XPF Suppt if .NET 3.5 higher is installed. It is the first version of Windows Embedded that can use the Windows Update Agent to update and install deployed images. Mainstream suppt will end in April 2014 and extended suppt in April 2019.

Once installed, I could never get Windows Update to wk (was running at 50% CPU never finishing), until I installed IE8

Once done & rebooted, WU picked 108 updates & wks perfectly fine.

We recommend you to USE the RETAIL - OEM Key provided in the CD KEY folder! and NOT the TRIAL ONES because TweakNT might fail to stop the Time-Bomb on some systems.

P.S. There was NO x64 of this, and will NEVER be!
